Hello, my name is Dr. Raymond Moore and it is my pleasure to be here with you today. I have a beautiful wife Dorothy and three wonderful children, Dennis, Kathie and Mari whom are all happily married. Special thanks to them for always being by my side through this journey, especially my wife. My homeschooling adventure started with an article I wrote in 1972 that was published in Harper's. My article was then republished by Reader's Digest and it got very popular with numerous of reviews that they had asked me to write a book about it. I eagerly did not decline and I went straight to my wife and started the process. Before I get to writing the book, I just want to say that this opportunity did not come to me right away. I first started out as a teacher, from there a principle, then from there a superintendent of California public schools. It did take quite a bit of time for me to take my first step towards my goal. I also got the amazing opportunity to serve on General MacArthur's staff during World War II, now that was something I will never forget. I then completed my education at the University of Southern California where I got my PhD and happily accepted the position as the president of several Seventh-day schools here in the US, Japan, and the Philippines. I began to research more into schooling on young children and I began to fall towards supporting homeschooling rather than higher education. My wife and I began to work with the courts to get parents the legal precedents to homeschool their children. We worked in courts as far away as South Africa, New Zealand, and Great Britain, just to name a few. My wife and I, along with my family, are very strong believers in "educational principles of head, heart, and hand", which was laid out by Ellen G. White, who was a Seventh-day Adventist Pioneer. This is just a little bit about myself and I hope to say much more in the near future.

Books that I would recommend using for my homeschooling system. Enjoy!
